Business Meeting Minutes
July 2, 2000

At 2:45pm the 2000 business meeting of the Ruckman Clan was called to order by Skip Neal, President, after a fine "pot luck" meal was eaten by all. Everyone present introduced themselves and told alittle about themselves.

The minutes of the 1999 Ruckman clan reunion meeting were accepted, after a correction of the amount reported in the treasury, as mailed and as presented. The current set of officers, elected July 5, 1998, was present and is:

Aaron Neal-President,

Bob Henry-Secretary,

Darren Winebrenner-Treasurer, and

Bob Ruckman-Historian.

Secretary Henry gave his report.

Treasurer Winebrenner gave his report: before today's collection the General Fund balance was $247.32---that is, $362.17 (this time last year) minus $114.85 postage and expenses. The collection for the General Fund was $159.00,
minus $50 for shelter reservation, making the new balance $356.32.

Vickie Dove reported that the Scholarship Fund has a total of $12,809.11.This was before this year's collection. This year, $1095.00 was collected for the Scholarship Fund, making a total balance of $13,904.11, before payment of
scholarships for 2000. The Scholarship committee, composed of Vickie, Ruth, Elizabeth, Linda, & Martha, granted 2 scholarships---to Andrew Miller for $800 and to Brandon Timey for $1000. The committee appointed Bob Ruckman for a 3-yr. term, replacing Elizabeth Krodel who rotated off the committee. Bob Ruckman spoke on the scholarship fund and the desire to get to the place where the scholarship award will be given out of the interest only. Any Ruckman descendent is eligible.

Bob Henry moved that the 2001 reunion be held at Watago State Park, but the motion was defeated, and it was voted to hold the reunion at CPC.  A donation of $50.00 was approved for the shelter at Clifton Presbyterian Church (CPC) for 2000.

A Ruckman T-shirt and mug order list was circulated.

Business meeting ended at 3:45pm. Folks visited for another 30 min. or so before departing (too hot to hang around in the sun with no trees or creek).
