WINTER MEMORIES

Long hot summer days have passed.  Autumn's made its bow and gone.  Now winter brings its icy blast.  It stays until its course is run.

Silver moon shines bright and clear, in the star-filled frosty night.  Ten thousand jewelled lights appear in the heavens - a brilliant sight.

Snow falls thickly from grey sky; a whirling, twirling, noiseless mass.  Soon the soft flakes pile up high, to make a sea of pure white grass.

All too soon the pristine scene is changed - the crisp white snow has gone.  Now its slush, no longer clean.  But the memory lingers on.
