NATIVITY 'Whom shall I send?' asked the Father in heaven. 'Send me' was His brave Son's reply. Thus, e'en before the Christ-child was born, He knew His destiny. Born in a stable, no room at the Inn; a manger His first resting place. The Saviour of mankind, untouched by its sin, came humbly to bring us God's grace. Above the stable, clearly seen, a golden star shone bright. Heralding the joyful birth of Jesus, Son of Light. A few short years, then He was gone, back to His heavenly throne; but sent the Holy Spirit down, to leave us not alone. A rainbow round His royal head, His face bright as the sun; He sits again at God's right hand, His work on earth now done. And when our little Day on earth is finally complete; by God's good grace we'll meet our Lord, and bow down at His feet. And under His protective robe, with Him we'll ever be. Our King of kings, and Lord of lords, thro' all eternity. Mg
