Life after the war
Life was never the same after the war, but gradually some aspects of life returned to normal. The road which had been badly damaged by troops and traction engines going to Cromarty was finally repaired. The bus service between Cromarty and the Kessock Ferry resumed in 1919. Street lighting and the lighthouse were illuminated again.
