OUR OUTREACH
We want to share our exciting collections with as many people as possible, including those who may not be able to visit our museum. Our education and outreach programme takes the museum out of the building into surrounding communities and groups so that all can benefit.
Much of our outreach work focuses on our Pictish sculpture collection and George Bain’s related Celtic revival art work. George Bain had a vision of Celtic Art as a truly democratic art form - in which everyone could derive artistic satisfaction and other benefits – so our outreach programme also helps to realise his vision and ensure that this distinctive and special art form has a future.
You can explore our recent outreach projects using the links below. If you or your group would be interested in collaborating on future projects please contact us.
We also offer a free Picts loan box scheme for primary schools. Please contact us if you would like to borrow a box.
