EVENTS, CONFERENCES, FORUMS, MEETINGS, ETC.

 

·      Organising a well-attended & evaluated networking National Conference at the NSPCC Training Centre to highlight new and developing issues & concerns regarding HIV/AIDS, following a 15-day study tour of ‘New York City’, USA, with 3 invited speakers from USA, which made a profit.
 
·      Developing, administrating, organising and substantially delivering an extensive & popular open/public training programme for Leicestershire & Rutland of over 50 courses a year for a total of over 17,000 participants from all Sectors, particularly staff & volunteers from health & social care.
 
  Organising many volunteering recruitment events, promotions and Volunteer Training Programmes, including a total of 15 full-weekends (Sat/Sun); 20 evening programmes (involving around 10-12 sessions each); 10 daytime programmes (involving around 6-8 full days each); as well as regular ongoing training sessions, support groups, and events.
                                                                           
·      Developing, promoting, administrating, organising and facilitating a new County-wide multi-agency Forum, holding five half-day events bringing together over 100 people from more than 70 groups & organisations throughout Leicestershire & Rutland, and over 150 contacts in an information Network.
 
·      Developing and administrating an evaluation exercise; recording, processing and reporting the results/findings; as well as devising and processing an on-line evaluation survey involving 130 individuals and representatives from 80 groups and organisations.

·      Significant responsibility within a busy section office of a major Trade Union HQ, involving a wide range of clerical, administrative, co-ordination and liaison duties, especially with senior internal/external officers and Executive Committee members; and assisting with national conference planning, organisation and administrative support at the events.
 
·      Organising West & South-West London ‘Equity’ Branch meetings & events; and assisting with organisation of fundraising benefits for various campaigns, during my time as an actor and involvement as a Branch Secretary in ‘Equity’ (the actors union).
 
·      Planning National Conferences and meetings of the ‘National Union of School Students’ when involved as elected ‘National Secretary’ and ‘Steering Committee’ member when younger; and organising various meetings as a Secretary & President of a Students Union when at College.
