SAFEGUARDING
- For many years, in previous employment, was designated Health & Safety Officer, devising policies and procedures; compiling risk assessments, as well as providing training to staff and volunteers.
- As a Parish Councillor, Chair of ‘Human Resources Committee’, which covers Health & Safety issues.
- Have attended various training on Safeguarding for Children & Adults, Health & Safety, First-Aid, etc.
- One of the multi-agency trainers for ‘Safeguarding Adults’ for Leicestershire & Rutland, providing training to a range of groups and organisations.
- In the vinvolved team (Leicestershire & Rutland), responsibility for leading on and devising policies and procedures, risk assessments, and provision of training, especially regarding Health & Safety and Safeguarding Children/Adults, particularly including for to Lone Working for our work across rural Leicestershire & Rutland.
- Previously trained as a Personal Safety trainer through the ‘Suzy Lamplugh Trust’ and have provided training and information on Personal Safety issues for groups & organisations, including with young people.
- Have significant understanding of CRB checking and the ‘Vetting & Barring Scheme’ of the ‘Independent Safeguarding Authority’, having attended various seminars and training, and carrying out own research, to provide information to groups & organisations, including training and information on the ‘Vetting & Barring Scheme’ .
- Provided training, information and support regarding safeguarding issues, especially CRB checking and the ‘Vetting & Barring Scheme’ of the ‘Independent Safeguarding Authority’, including around reviewing and developing policies and procedures, etc.
