 Chick type 161, Blunt 108, same dies, the only recorded example being the British Museum coin with the chunk out of it. The other coin of this moneyer, Chick 162, Blunt 109, (Same obverse die, different reverse) is in the Royal coin cabinet in Stockholm, so it is likely that yours is the only coin of this moneyer in private hands. Chick has revised Blunt's dating of the East Anglian light coinage to c.780/5-792/3, Stunning find! |
