Pavoni Pump Machines
La Pavoni Espresso plus or other pump machine not working or leaking? Why not ask rather than leaving on the shelf or cupboard. I can stop your Eurobar leaking at the boiler or the steam valve, replace your group seal, failed element or pump and generally get it working like new for very little outlay. Service, inspection, full de-scale and clean; £39.99 plus any parts (If it is heating up and the pump is running. at most the group seal, boiler valve, and steam tap seals) General check for leaks, Thermocouple check of the brew thermostat/water delivery temperature and thermal cut-out operation. Electrical safety check carried out before return

Pressurised Portafilter - New design
It looks complicated but it isn't really. The backplate is a push fit onto a centre boss. There are a lot of places for the coffee to build up as it collects and dries. A soak of the plastic parts especially the "needle valve" in the centre is a good idea. No need to take it apart like I did for the photo, I don't think the plastic would accept continual disassembly so don't do it a lot. Just remove the two springs, pop the back plate off the centre boss and soak the whole assembly. Beware of the small return spring which allows the user to temporarily block the filter outlet and build up pressure to increase crema production, works rather well!
IMPORTANT NOTE Please be careful, Pavoni as far as I am aware do not sell any internal spares and a replacement portafilter is VERY expensive. Do this at your own risk.
