30 International Students representing 10 different counties: China (1), Egypt (1), France/Ivory Coast (1), Libya (1), Malaysia (1), USA (1), Kazakhstan (1), Poland (1), Nigeria (8) and India (13)were the largest number ever to attend one of the Club’s International Evenings.

Each student introduced him or herself to Club members and gave reasons for opting for the MBA course at RGU. Aberdeen’s status as ‘Oil and Gas Capital of Europe’, future prospects and increased earnings figured prominently. The event was enjoyed by all and the Club was thanked for its hospitality.

One of the Indian students was also a Rotaract member in his homeland and presented the Club with a letter from his Club President. In turn he was presented with a Club banner.

In addition the 3 Rotaract members from the Aberdeen Club introduced themselves and invited the International students to join them. Sarah Perry, Rotary Ambassadorial Student also spoke briefly – she is to return in February to speak to the Club about herself and her studies in Aberdeen.
