Time & Talent

Time ‘n’ Talent was the re-incarnation of Churn Your Cash.  Originally, Churn Your Cash was a method of raising money based on each member of the club being given a twenty pound note to increase the sum given back.  This evolved into ‘funny money’ being given to the members for them to turn into ‘the real McCoy’.

Now in its third re-invention, we had success last year with members using their time or talents to create wealth.   Using their expertise, members have fundraised for Rotary charities by ingenious methods!  There are some regular contributors who provide annual, seasonal appropriate craftwork, who are also building up an annual order list.

This year 15 Members raised some £1,250  which has made a very welcome addition to the charity account.

There was a wide range of contributions from all sorts of activities – to name but a few:

  • Selling items on ebay
  • Banqueting
  • Gardening (for other people)
  • Babysitting extraordinaire
  • Word games
  • Making tablet and other confections, including made to order cakes

This year so far we have had contributions as the result of a champagne tea and some intrepid high wire antics (to name but a few).  Just look at the photos to see what lengths (or heights) our Club members will go to raise some cash.
