Welcome to our Club Website

The Rotary  Club  of Aberdeen  Deeside has about 40 members who enjoy meeting regularly to socialise and to plan activities which raise money for local, national and international charities and good causes. The atmosphere at our meetings is relaxed and informal  with weekly meetings taking the form of a meal followed by a speaker on a topic of interest.

More details about latest postings and progress in migrating to our new RIBI template to date may be viewed here.

cults academy young musician of 2014

At Cults Academy's annual 'Young Musician of the Year 2014' competition held on the 20 March,  Christian Ah-See,  who played the violin,  was the overall winner.   He is pictured being presented with the Rotary Club of Aberdeen Deeside trophy by Norma Pratt,  Junior Vice President at the Club.   Norma also presented Christian with a music token and commented that his performance had been outstanding.   Christian played "Remembrances" from Schindler's List by John Williams and Czardas by Vittorio Monti.   The runner-up was Lai Yee Orbell who played the alto saxophone, also to a very high standard.

There was only one vocalist competing, Nuala Wilkinson, and the judges deemed her performance worthy of the RCAD vocalist trophy.   Nuala sang "I Could Have Danced All Night" by Loewe and "Wishing You Were Somehow Here Again" by Lloyd Webber.

Rotary District 1010 publishes an e Bulletin,  Rotary First.   Edition 6 has three articles on projects/ activities of the Rotary Club of Aberdeen Deeside on pages 13,  19 & 27.
