Knitting

A Mission Together
GOAL: 1500 knitted baby Jackets

AIM: to provide a baby jacket (matinee) for each mother who gives birth @ a new maternity clinic in Freetown, Sierra Leone.

Sierra Leone has one of Africa’s highest maternal mortality rates. Aberdeen Women’s Centre, Freetown built by Rotarians, provides free surgeries to women injured in childbirth.

 DONATIONS ARE NEEDED
Double knitting wool & knitters
Please donate wool or give your time and talent.
Try to avoid white but we won’t say no to it.

This is a huge challenge
but together we can do it!

Please pick up wool and a pattern from and return your matinee jacket to The Rotary Club of Aberdeen Deeside.

For further details please contact Ros Riungu

The jackets will be collected on 30th November and sent to Sierra Leone.

WITH MANY THANKS
Rotary Club of Aberdeen Deeside
On behalf of Rotary Club of Montrose & Mercy Ships
