Water Supply

The water supply comes from the hillside and is pure Scottish water.  The supply is filtered and passes through a UV filter at the point of entry to the house.  There are no harmful added chemicals such as chlorine, as found in mains water, and it is excellent drinking water.  

Please do not throw anything into the burn/stream – this is the water supply up to the point where it is dammed and is piped to a large storage tank.

In exceptional circumstances, at times of prolonged drought, you may be asked to minimise the amount of water that you use.  The supply has never failed but there have been a few occasions when it has been wise to limit the amount of water used.
