The Accommodation

The accommodation is a self-contained apartment on the ground floor of Traighuaine Ard.  The open plan living area and the bedrooms face towards the view looking out over Craignish Peninsular, Craobh Haven Marina, the islands of Shuna, Luing, Scarba and Jura and the opening into Corrievreckan, the third largest whirlpool in the world.  There’s a large decking area beyond the sitting room patio doors where you can relax and drink in the views.  A burn (stream) runs through the garden which is laid out with lawns and shrubberies. 

Traighuaine Ard is an eco-friendly house.  As a newly built house, the insulation is of a high specification  and the hot water and heating are provided by way of an air to water heat pump.  Photovoltaic panels have been installed on the roof which, on sunny days, generate electricity.  The floors of the apartment are all tiled with beautiful Travertine tiles which retain the warmth of the underfloor heating in each room.
