Inward Mobilities

Taith has allocated funding for only 8 opportunities for Jamaican colleagues to visit Wales.

The Jamaica Wales Alliance Project Committee members agreed to give the first priority to those members interested to travel to Wales, starting with the Regional Director of Education, Barrington Richardson, followed by Dr Kirt Henry, Director of the Jamaica Memoriy Bank.

These mobilities were planned independently to suit individual availability to travel and Barrington Richardson spent a week in Wales in October, helping to promote Black History Month activities in North Wales and preparing the way to engage schools and parents in exploring the shared history of Welsh plantation ownership and Jamaica.

Read Barrington Richardson's report  here.

The week's itinerary is here.
