Kingston

Kingston is a welcoming city, but it is not without it's challenges.

The safety of the Delegation is our No 1 priority and our initial plans to stay in Clarendon were influenced by this, as we could not find accomodation with the level of security that seemed appropriate at the time. 

The ROK Hotel was the recommendation from our partner organisation, as it was near the Jamaica Memory Bank and is frequently used by visiting Delegations. 

The ROK Hotel is on the Kingston Walterfront where there are restaurants and street food options, in an area that feels safe. However it is in walking distance of Downtown Kingston and Coronation Market, which are areas not usually recommended for tourists.
