Project Planning

The project planning process evolving for the 'Building Bridges of Friendship' is flexible and matches the non formal approaches taken by the Learning Links International team as we explore ways to engage adults in learning about the shared history of Wales and Jamaica.

A number of project possibilities have been on our agenda for some time as we have attempted to get the reparation funds promised back in 2022 over to Jamaica. 

The Jamaica Wales Alliance Project Committee meets every week on Zoom, with Chair Coy Roache ensuring we keep focussed, however over this length of time we have also created the Pennants Heritage Reesarch Group as part of the activities. 

The Delegation visit from Wales to Jamaica will include opportunities to see work in progress on activities in Pennants and to give delegates the change to consider other ways the project can address challenges identified by the community.
