Golfing in Wester Ross..... Escape city life for a few rounds ....

The Gairloch Golf course is recognised as one of the best small courses around, offering a combination of scenery, exercise, and sport not easily found elsewhere.

The Course occupies a fabulous location above a beautiful long sandy beach with the Minch and the islands of Skye, Harris and Lewis to the west, the mountains of Torridon to the south, and the wilderness of Letterewe to the east. To the north lies Ullapool, the gateway to the Western Isles.

The 9-hole course set amongst rolling dunes provides an excellent challenge to golfers of all abilities – with a testing par for low handicappers but a forgiving nature for the more casual player. The club which was established in 1898 has been steadily developed and every year sees further investment in the course and its facilities. Members enjoy a full program of competitive events throughout the year and our Open Competitions provide the perfect opportunity for visitors to join us to compete for silverware and cash prizes.

The cafe is open 7 days a week through the season from 9.00am to 5.00pm. For non-golfers it is a popular destination before or after a visit to the beach or occasionally to escape from the rain! The licensed bar is open from 11.00am.

The clubhouse shop carries a range of essential golfing equipment and clothing. The shop also sells ice creams, soft drinks, sweets and crisps. Club and trolley hire are available. Bookings for tee times and our Open Competitions can be made in the shop.
