Accommodation:

The area has numerous Hotels, self catering, bed and breakfasts, along with two of the best campsites on the NW coast at Strath and Big Sand. There are also hostels in the form of a Scottish Youth Hostel located on the road towards Big Sand, and Rua Reidh Lighthouse at Melvaig (road end - a unique location!)

 However, for the region as a whole, there are already a number of really good websites with accomodation listings -  these sites already have quality standards that their advertisers meet.  So, to avoid duplication of this information, we will simply give you a short listing of the websites in question:

 First of all: The Celtic Fringe Tourism Association . This has been established for over ten years now, and is a community / voluntary group based in this area. The site features accommodation from hotels, self catering, bed and breakfast, and hostel / campsites, activity providers, retail outlets (shops!), and visitor centres.

This is a "portal" site, about three years old now, and has information on the whole of Wester Ross, including sections our wildlife, activities, and culture. It's informative, colourful, and ever expanding! Visit Wester Ross members can be identified by this sign:
