Reader responds to councillor

Where have Labour been?

Says reader in response to a letter sent by Cllr Peter Rees

A reader has forecast the demise of Labour in Neath if the Empire building is demolished.  He refers to Swansea when their council ignored the issues of the Mumbles train, which was privately owned at the time it was closed down, with no move by the council to take it over.   It is something that the residents of Swansea have never forgotten, and maybe one of the reasons why Labour is no longer in control of the council, the reader says.

It was only when Swansea residents realised the situation did they voice their views - perhaps when it was too late.   The same goes for the Empire building in Neath - it is only now that residents are speaking up on this discussion website.

The photo sent in by our reader speaks for itself.
