Neath did not cherish Olympic Fame

Feedback from residents suggest that Neath not highlight the passage of the Olympic Flame like other towns and cities.  Residents are blaming councillors for their lack of interest.

At Roman Way many hundreds of residents gathered at Banana Island and were disappointed when the Olympic Torch runner did not pass on the expected route.  The times were displayed on notices previously posted at the location.

It is thought that the runner went into Dwr-y-felin playing fields and was picked up from there because he was behind time.    The councillors for the area have been asked to investigate what went wrong.

In contrast, Swansea gave the torch runner an outstanding reception.
