Treat as epiphyllum.

To get a bushy plant, wait until it is big enogh to tale a cutting, keep for a week to let the cut end callous over and plant up in a seperate pot, do not water until it has put out roots, then plant  it back into the same pot as the parent plant.

Medicinal actions: Cardiac tonic, anthelmentic

Medicinal use: A valuable remedy for the heart. Stimulates the action of the heart, increasing the strength of contractions while slowing the heart rate. It is prescribed for various conditions including angina and low blood pressure, and is often given as a tonic during recovery from a heart attack. The juice of the whole plant is also given to expel worms, and the stems and flowers are used in treatment of rheumatism.

SELENICEREUS VALIDUS

Selenicereus validus is an ornamental, flowering cactus with stems that branch at the base. The stems are a pendant, rope-like, up to 40 cm long, up to 3 cm in diameter with very fine spines covering the exterior, stems cascade in waterfall form very easy. Nocturnal bloom opens at full darkness and stays open till late morning. The flowers are up to 22 cm long, white and gold, blooming in the warmer months from June to fall depending on your location.
