 Above: Aruna Shah was inspired by the 1st prize-winning exhibit by a Pakistani competitor in her class 'Sunset'. Below is the actual 1st prize-winning exhibit by Naushaba Kahlil:

 

Above: Aruna was also influenced by the two-sided exhibits in the plinth class 'Chameleon' which she interprested as the extreme change from fresh to dried and from greens to browns. Below is the green side of the actual exhibit by Yoko of Japan which was awarded Third:

 Naina attempted a design by Gregor Lersch and his European floral masters during their grand demonstration on the final day of the WAFA Show.
