Birds and Bats

Boxes to provide homes for owls, bats, and all kinds of birds have been installed in trees around Hurworth including Lychgate, Goblin Wood, throughout the Grange grounds.

EPICH sourced nestboxes from "Darlington Cares", and the Youth Offending Service, and made them available to Hurworth residents free of charge during National Nestbox Week.
