Swifts in Hurworth

Swifts love the River Tees flowing through Hurworth, and in summertime are visible swooping and soaring as they catch insects on the wing.  Boxes have been made available to residents at less than cost price, and a project for 2021/22 to fit the belfry at All Saints Church with tailored swift boxes has been supported by EPICH.
