Peter Hain Comment
HAIN PLEDGES TO HELP PARTY RECOVER?
Neath Guardian Thursday 11/06/2009.

I read with amusement. A statement made by Peter Hain in the local Neath Guardian. Wherein, Hain state's, that he has come back into the cabinet to help the New Labour party recover from the dreadful period they are in? Who the devil is he trying to fool? The only reason he is back in the cabinet for the second time around is because Gordon Brown is so desperately short of ministers due to resignations for fiddling, that he has had no choice, other than to give him the position of Secretary of state for Wales for the second time. Not that he was any good at it the first time around? (Well that's my opinion anyway).

Hain goes on to state: " For a Welsh M.P.. It is a real privilege to be Secretary of State for Wales".   It may be, but it must be a double privilege for you Mr Hain? Because you are not even Welsh. Never have been, nor never will be! You were born in Nairobi and lived in theS. of Africa until you were well and truly kicked out of there with your parents in 1966 for causing trouble.

So as far as I am concerned, you are NOT a WELSH M.P. You are just another M.P. in Wales and to be quite honest with you. I would much rather have a Welsh person to represent me than some foreigner? Someone who is prepared to help the Welsh people and the Welsh country. Not someone who wants to help themselves first and the people and their country last? As it would appear in your case?  Let us see. What if anything, have you ever done for the people of Wales? Apart from writing in the press, loads of gum bumping articles which mean nothing - just to try and impress people! Sorry, but at the moment I cannot recall if you ever have done anything for them? Not unless it has suited you to do it? Perhaps you would like to try and refresh my memory Mr Hain.

I am sure the editor of the Neath Ferret would allow you to try and do so if you wanted to? You went on to say. "We must rebuild the trust and explain to the British people the serious dangers of the Tories old right wing policies - especially their plans for savage spending cuts? Whist I think most of the people in Wales will never forget what the Tories did for the Welsh when they were in power, especially the Welsh miners. But I seriously think that people who live in glasshouses should not throw stones?

I am sure the people of Wales would much rather hear you explain why our Health service is in such a state. Why our schools and education are in such a state and why are the pensioners of not only Wales but Britain paid the lowest pensions in Europe? Why do we pay some of the highest taxes in Europe and why we pay one of the highest council taxes for the UK, in Neath and Port Talbot? The constituency you represent?  You have never supported the people of Cymmer in their fight to preserve the beauty of their countryside and the devaluation of their homes against the eyesores of giant windmills. You did not support the people of Cilfrew in their fight against the National Grid and the N.P.T.C.B. council planning Dept over the Gas Pipeline. All you ever do is criticise those people. Neither have you shown any support to the people of Neath and Port Talbot over the wood burning power station planned for Port Talbot which the majority of people do not want because it can poison us with it's fumes?

In the same weekly newspaper, you say you want the Welsh assembly to spend millions of pounds of the peoples money on the G. B. (Wales) Rally? Money which is desperately short, or so we are told when it comes to repairing holes in our roads.  But what does the rally do for anyone? Other than the selected few who make a profit out of it by selling petrol or accommodation and food. All it does for anyone else is to help to waste their council tax by having to pick up the litter and mess that is left behind by the rally followers. People who live in the vicinity of where the rally travel's, have to obtain special permits to get to and from their own homes and on top of that, have to sometimes take their lives into their own hands to do so. Due to some of the idiots who follow the rally. Correct me if I am wrong Mr Hain. But I believe that rallying is one of your favourite sports as well.   Along side of Formula 1 racing? I wonder if that is why you are trying your best to keep the rally going in Wales and to hell with the expense? Again, I suppose only you could answer that question? I suppose also, it would help a great deal, that if everybody who owes tens of thousands and even hundreds of thousands of pounds to the taxman, paid what they owe. The government would have more money to give to the Welsh Assembly to repair our roads and then maybe, support the Rally financially?   Roll on the next election. I wonder how well the British National Party or UKIP would do in this area if they were opposing you? I would rather see some new blood up against you Mr Hain. Because as the old saying goes, a leopard cannot change it's spots.
