1968 SHOW
This was the first show of the series. John Walling was the producer. John was from Atherstone and had recently moved to Burton with his work as an insurance agent. He had been appointed Group Scout Leader at Stretton and was the driving force in getting the show on the road.
I was Stage Manager for the show as well as being a performer (an arrangement we soon discovered as being impractical!!). Rehearsals were at Grange Street School and Brook House.
The performance was during Easter week at the Robert Sutton School. Robert Sutton was the only stage in town that could accommodate the large cast, both on stage and in changing rooms.
Selected pages from the programme are here.
Other pages (mainly the advert pages) are below.
In both cases images are downgraded for the web. If you want a full size copy of a particular page, then make contact and I can e-mail it to you.
