Kerry was from my first litter of deerhounds. She had the sweetest of natures and although she only did her mothering duties grudgingly, she was a most wonderful grandmother. It was quite strange that Kerry and Barney had total love and respect for their mother, Krystal, but Kerry never had much time for her children, Bruich or Francesca, and hardly spared them the time of day, maybe just an odd sniff. However, she was a doting grandmother and all her grandchildren worshipped her dearly and she never tired of them, , she was perfectly happy for them to use her as a cushion and would pin them down and wash them whether youngsters or adults.
Kerry was incredibly fast and could outrun all the others in her youth, but she was a couch potato and had to be persuaded out for a run, although once outside she would have a great time, but made sure she was first back inside for the comfy seat.
