Campbell of Knap

In August 1826 Duncan Campell, the son of Neil Campbell of Knap, died in Demerara [Blackwood's Magazine, 1826]. The Campbells of Knap had been Jacobite supporters, who were prosecuted after the defeat of the Jacobites in 1746 and sold up their lands in 1776.
