I would not stop taking journeys into yesterday if that is what it takes to find what I am looking for in the present. Certainly, apprehension always arrives with fear as it was the case later last night when I was in bed and I saw a sudden burst of flame from my bedroom window; I got up and when I looked out of the window I noticed that my neighbours’ car was on fire. A journey to the past was in order as an imaginative non-physical element took over, disembodied me, lifted me up and finally it conveyed me to Legendary Troy. The Ancient Greeks and Ancient Romans left us, arguably, of course, but in my opinion, nevertheless, a flamboyant and coruscating legacy of high cultural level and social development which still has a strong influence in our present –days’ civilisation.

It is like living a dream under the magical influence of surrealism but in the presence of real-time circumstances. Certainly, it is very amusing to call a city intoxicating but that is exactly what Figueres is, it is nothing short of mind-blowing and the zest for living and infectious candour of its extraordinary people would beckon you to be part of its continual celebration, and it will, I am sure of it, have you soon drinking from the merrymaking glass of passion for life.

Thoughts, justifiably, are not accountable to dissemination unless, of course, the bearer wish to do so but there is nothing wrong with aspiring to a little more honey and a little less hardship from time to time; while on the subject of honey and hardship I would rather see the world be spared of the latter for we live in a world of inadequacy and inequality where far too many people are unable to raise their living standard simply because their expectations have been irresponsibly floored by the forces of mediocrity and indifference. How much one knows and how much one care to tell are two different things but both are influenced by, perhaps, counterproductive consequence and personal financial interest.

The game's point of greatest development was in 1938 when the first World Cup in baseball was held in England which, naturally, Great Britain won. Appropriately enough this triumph captured the interest of many people and the game reached its highest climax when it was played at a professional level in the Derbyshire area in 1939.

The consensus of leading experts in environmental issues is that the level of carbon dioxide in the air has increased significantly during this new millennium. Indeed, the combustion of fossil fuels produces carbon dioxide and is the principal culprit of global warming; in addition, ploughing land also releases large amounts of soil-held gas into the atmosphere taking the measurement of carbon dioxide to an even greater level. Furthermore, industrial effluent (liquid discharged as wasted) and untreated sewage, which are the most common pollutants of water and the common use of fertilisers in food production, means that huge amount of nitrates (compound of nitric acid, used as a fertiliser) and phosphates (fertiliser containing phosphorus) are released into river systems.

Not only is mankind partly responsible for the ill effects of Mother Earth towards its eradication but he has also brought into existence the means to make the task more easily attainable.

There is wisdom in taking an interest in what is going on in the world and its environment but learning about its characteristic features and be aware of its vulnerability are of paramount importance since they offer a breath of fresh air to the world and its social issues by opening a window of learning to everyone. Absolutely, I care for the world and its social issues and I think that it would be selfish if I said that it had nothing to do with me just simply because it does not affect me; on the contrary, I think we should always help when there is a problem in the world and give its misery a well-needed touch of guidance.

I am all for hitters swinging at the ball when it is in a strike zone regardless of the count and I would encourage players at every opportunity to swing at a good pitch and try to make connection with the ball but if they are unable to do so they should, at least, make the pitcher aware of their intentions by looking at the direction in which the ball travelled to home plate after the swing has been executed.
