RICKEN'S CONECAP : Conocybe rickeniana
This tiny mushroom is what you could expect in the corner of an Arthur Rackman illustration amongst the larger array of mushrooms. It likes humus-rich soil in grasslands, parks, roadsides and broad-leaved woods on rich soil.
While some claim that it can be eaten, others note toxic reactions.

You get a sense of the small scale from the fallen leaves all around it. This one was found in October in a natural autumnal mulch in Ocotber above Renton. Watch that you don't step on one.
