Wild Woods,Wild River

Spend the day with a woodland, wild food and wildlife expert, exploring ancient forests and the dramatic River Findhorn. Learn about and forage for wild foods and medicinal herbs. Try your hand at traditional skills such as weaving rope from nettles or building and cooking over your own campfire (started without matches). Listen to fascinating stories about Scotland, the local woods and rivers and the wildlife that they support. This excursion includes a whole day of guided woodland activities and an organic picnic lunch. All activities take place alongside the River Findhorn, just a few miles inland from Forres. You will need to organise your own transport to and from the river (let us know if this is a problem and we may be able to help). Please contact us for directions to the meeting point.
 

Availability: This outing will run at least once a week during the summer months. Additional days may be added subject to demand and availability of guides.
 

Price: Adults £45, Children (5-14) £35. Not suitable for very young children.
