Accommodation

Most people choose to stay at our base, Newbold House, a beautiful Victorian mansion run as a nature and wellbeing centre. We have eight beautiful guest rooms including singles, twins, doubles and family rooms. The house boasts a gorgeous period conservatory, walled vegetable garden and apple orchard in 7 acres of grounds and woodland, including plenty of interesting nooks and crannies for kids to explore. Our gardens are ideal for sunny picnics, games on the lawn, watching wildlife on our bird feeders and in the bee garden, or just enjoying the gorgeous flower beds. The garden backs onto a community woodland of Scots pine forest, with many walking trails, and the local deer often pay us a visit.

  

The house is run by a small community of resident staff dedicated to "developing, practicing and teaching skills for sustainable living, in harmony with ourselves, each other and the earth".

 

Food!

Wild at Heart believe that delicious food is a crucial aspect of any holiday and as such we source the best local, seasonal and organic produce.

Meal times offer a chance for exploration and discovery and we are always happy to spend a little time explaining the dishes, the history of traditional foods, where the produce comes from and who produced it. Newbold House-based holidays include continental breakfast (incl. home made bread and preserves), lunch and most evening meals.

The ingredients used are fresh and organic, with much of the fruit and veg coming straight from the garden.

If you would like to arrange a tailored holiday with accommodation of a different kind. We can help you arrange this through our partners at a local eco-friendly bed & breakfast, a 4 star country inn and various bunkhouses and hostels.

These holidays can be self catering, or have some catered elements, depending on your preference. We have a wonderful chef who can come in and cook you a meal, a wonderful treat for special occasions. We always endeavor to work with the highest quality accommodation providers and caterers, who share our commitment to sustainability.
