The Riverside is part of Beautiful Britain 01 April 2010  Riverside Restaurant, Lanark
This takes the prize for having the most obvious calling card left by any author. No cheesy photos but a mural, painted by Alasdair Gray. The Falls of Clyde was painted in 1969 when Gray was an art student. Over time, it disappeared under wallpaper, but was rediscovered by owner Andy Boyle in 2009. Gray helped to restore it.
