Summer is now over and the autumn is slowly taking over, i love this time of year.
Last weekend i, along with friends Neil and Jackie Smith and Elaine Norris took the Euro tunnel over to Calais and then on to Belgium where we had entered three dogs for the Leonberger Club of Belgium championship show. i just took Ripley. We had a fantastic day, the atmopshere was very friendly and the judging unhurried, i think a good ten minutes was spent with each dog. I had Rips entered in the Bitch intermmediate class and i was totally ellated when from a class of 11 he awarded Ripley a grade of excellent, one of just 5. Below is the critique he gave her
22 months DCC, Good proportions, frame adverage. Very good angulation front and rear. Very good head with very good mask and very good pigmatation. Her eyes i would personally prefer darker. Very good texture of hair, very good pile. Excellent movement with excellent gate.
Graded Excellent.
One very proud moment. Below is a photo of us with our dogs, Jackie and Neils dogs where also graded excellent, so a good adventure all round
