It is now towards the end of January and things have bee rather lazy here, only attending two shows, but both really enjoyable outings.
Rips had her eyes tested for Glucoma ( this will become part of our code of ethics in the very near future, please see www.leonbergerclubofgbco.uk for more info on this), and i am pleased to say she recieved a certificate to say she is normal and free from narrow angles, which is excellent news, my wish of a healthy happy girl are defo true.
Both Storm and Leffey are to be tested for Glucoma in Febuary, fingers crossed for a good result for both of them.
On the showing front i took both Leffey and Rips to Wealdstone open show where Rips was placed 2nd in Junior and Leffey 1st in open, nice atmopshere . Later on in the month i took Rips to Manchester championship show, i was feeling really rather under the weather so freind and fellow leo nut Cathy agreed to take her in the ring for me, delighted to say that from a field of 7 Juniors Rips was awarded a 2nd placing, and thus qualified for crufts 2013 at her first championship show of the year. The lovely bitch who came 1st in her class went on to be awarded the RCC.
