St Ives is the nearest town with a wide variety of art shops exhibitions and studios.
St Michael's Mount near Penzance has a causeway that can be used at low tide. At mid to high tide boats transport visitors to and fro for a small charge.
Lands End, the western most part of England is not too long a drive.
Other towns worth a visit include Truro, Helston and Falmouth. If seeking quaint architecture then Mousehole with its tiny fishermans cottages and spectacular sea views is a must. Drive past Penzance and take the coast road through the fishing port of Newlyn and it is signposted.
