Knox MacPherson 2014 Reunion
My name is Jennie Rush and my grandmother was one of six Knox sisters who emigrated from Scotland to Canada. My cousin, umpteen times removed, Peter Grant, has graciously allowed me to borrow his website for the upcoming 2014 Knox MacPherson family reunion in San Diego, Californa (USA).
In July 2012, Peter successfully organized our second Scotland reunion. In 1989 a small group of us including one of the Knox sisters, Great Aunt Clare, traveled to England and Scotland. In Scotland we met up with Peter's grandparents, mother and brother in Beauly. Peter & Barbara Pearce, Evelyn and Seamus graciously showed us around. Barbara Pearce was a cousin of the Knox girls. It seems from that point on someone in our family has organized an international family reunion. Whether it be the Scots, Canadians or Americans, we've met in Las Vegas, Lake Tahoe, Edmonton, Saskatoon, Seattle, Banff and Beauly.
The 2012 Scotland reunion brought together the MacPherson's and Knox's--many whom had never met---and strong bonds were formed. We are looking forward to getting together in San Diego in August 2014 as we honor the legacy of the Knox MacPherson clan.
