Below are a series of links to papers written by our late Chairman Neville Sibery who had a life times interest in all aspects of Chivalry.

It is virtually impossible for us in the present day to view the fifteenth century with anything but a twenty first century mindset. Perhaps a way to try and understand the workings of the fifteenth century mind is to read contempory books, and study the art, customs and religious views of the time. This is what this section of our website seeks to do.

Firstly Neville deals with the fifiteenth century in the context of its prevailing political and cultural aspects. Then he explores in more detail the concept of chivalry and it subsequent demise during our period.
