Our project is all about providing a service for the benefit of the community:
- local produce for local people to eat and sell
- reduction in food mileage
- less stress for the livestock of the North
If we can offer a full processing service for meat, we create work in the county and further opportunities arising from the primary activity.
We have a briefing sheet for the community here (which will soon be appearing somewhere near you in paper form, please keep an eye out for it!)
We need physical evidence to show to potential grant funders that there is a huge amount of community interest in this project.
We know the livestock producers are interested - we already have their survey responses.
We now need to demonstrate that the rest of the community has a genuine interest.
