Readers express concern about trees and woodlands near roads and houses

What has happened in Califonia has made readers write in to say that something similar could happen here in the UK unless action is taken now to prune trees and make fire-breaks in woodlands near houses.

Even here in Bryncoch there are fire hazards which should be looked at - see below:

Trump comments on forest fires in California

"Donald Trump has again blamed California’s wildfires on mismanagement of forests, reiterating the criticism on the eve of a visit to the most devastated area of the state.

Fox News asked Trump if he thought climate change had contributed to California’s wildfires. Trump said: “Maybe it contributes a little bit. The big problem we have is management.”

In an interview scheduled to air on Sunday, Trump added: “You need management,” and then said: “I’m not saying that in a negative way, a positive I’m just saying the facts.”
