Can I video council meetings?

A reader thinks we are not getting the feedback we deserve from council meetings

What is going on at our Council meetings?

Not for the first time a reader states that the NPT Council's website is not giving news and feedback on council meetings and affairs that matter to residents.

The question of being able to video council meetings has cropped up, which is sure to come sooner or later, bearing in mind that Parliament at Westminster is now televised.

If residents were to demand it then the issue should be seriously considered.

We quote from the Internet:

"It is often very helpful for local community groups or hyperlocal blogs to be able to record what happens at council meetings. It allows them to capture and share a record of what was agreed – and hold politicians to account in the future.  It can also help them celebrate success and show good local government in practice.

Some local council’s have had problems with this and today the Department for Communities and Local Government have clarified things for us all."
