A bus on rails - a valley possibllity

A bus on rails is rather like the rail diesel coaches that were once used by the GWR.   A conventional bus adapted for rail use would not be difficult to do as a trial on the Neath Valleys line, in fact it could be the cheapest option.    One thing is certain, it would go along way in reliving road congestion.

The loss of the Mumbles train, the oldest passenger railway in the world, is now much regretted.   The decision was made by South Wales Transport who, at that time, thought that the road bus was a better option, giving little thought to heritage and tourism.   The Mumbles Train was rather like a bus on wheels and was always popular attraction as a valleys rail bus is sure to be.
