Reader says he may write to Alun Michael (left), the Police & Crime Commissioner, about police no longer checking CCTV footage in the case of a car hit and run incident.

A reader has been told by a Police Officer that they no longer check CCTV footage at public buildings (hotels etc) in the event of a crime, like a car hit and run incident, but leave it to insurance companies..

This matter is on-going and is of serious concern, and many readers have wriiten in with their views.

One reader reminds us that we pay for the police out of the community tax we pay.
