A toilet issue
Reader has the answer to the lack of TOILETS in shopping areas
With business rates coming under the control of local authorities, a reader suggests a rate discount for stores providing public toilets.
Stores aleady have staff toilets that they will not allow their custmers to use. The rate discount would cover cleaning and maintenance costs and could even result in a finacial benefit.
The suggestion would not burden the local authorities and would encourage older people to go shopping for longer periods - hence a further benefit to business. Remember, happy customers spend more money.
