2.   Community Councils in Neath & District

This week we look at the long established Blaenhonddan Community Council, which covers the West side of the river Neath.
Areas covered include:   Caewern, Waunceirch, Bryncoch, Cadoxton, Aberdulais and Cilfrew.

All the above wards have their own community centres.  They have facilities for group bookings, including: birthday parties, annerversaries other special events

The Council's website was first constructed in the Winter of 2008 but has sadly deteriorated since then.   There are no names or photographs of the community councillors and their addresses and contact details are not mentioned - unlike the website of the Neath Town Council.

Households in the area pay around £50 per annum (from the council tax precept) to the Council which covers the running of the community centres, playing fields and open spaces.    Councillors receive no payments or allowances for their services..
