Loan Scam warning

On our readers letters page you will see a letter regarding loans.
This has been posted after many readers may have over spent at Christmas and a loan sounds attractive.    It is noted, however, that a payment is required up-front.   This made us look into the matter, which lead us finding the following report:

The letter was published in case readers received emails along the same lines, and as an alert.  Remember, if an offer looks too good to be true, it usually is.
