Readers speak out about Neath Council

A reader has compimented Neath Port Talbot Council on their food testing and hygene standards, saying it is an incentive for eating establishments to improve their standards.

The rating standard is between 1 and 5, as shown in the illustration, with 5 being the best result.   The reader suggests that these heath and safety checks be extended to the testing of beer at pubs in view of a disturbing report by a Neath pub landlord highlightng the chemical reaction between beer and plastic pipelines and filters - see "Breaking News' in menu.

Another reader gives his views on Neath's new multi-story car park and says he loves it - and the video made by Mike Davies. Almost immediate response came from two other readers with one saying that the reader who make that comment does not live by it.   Read more on our READERS LETTERS page.
