Increasing Council funds and helping motorists at the same time
A reader has come up with a scheme that could raise millions of pounds for the council and help motorists at the same time.
It would combine a road parking licence (parking on the road outside your house), with a season ticket for council owed carparks. A time limit would of course apply.
To date no-one has objected to this in principle. It would certainly benefit the dog owners who walk their pets more than once a day at the Gnoll grounds.
Sadly the council website is not very helpful when it comes to season ticket charges for individual car parks. The suggested season ticket/licence would cover ALL council owned park parks - hence saving admin costs.
Have we got a caring listening council that would benefit motorists and their famlies while making money to benefit the community? We must wait and see!
